From seeds to sounds is how we like to run the show and we are pleased to welcome back Blooming Futures who will provide the seeds and their lovely pure plant oil generator, from seeds to Cat's Cradles sound and light. Blooming Futures will also be demonstrating their seed press, so we will have the freshest plant oil fueling the freshest sounds on site. We will have the brightest LEDs stage lighting and a thought provoking visual cocktail from Optic Fibre. Optic Fibre are planning new and expanded visual nutrition to accompany all our acts once the daylight fades to transform the Green Innovations arena from a world of sustainable lifestyle choices into a beautiful night time wonderland.
If you are a green innovator or have a green business and you would like to take part please contact: paul@greeninnovations.org.uk or phone 07802 647827. www.greeninnovations.org.uk

V3 Power - Hand Builders of Wind TurbinesV3 Power are a workers cooperativethatbuild and run courses in how to build small scale wind turbines. The design (from Hugh Piggot) is low tech andcan be built from scratch in a workshop from materials that aren't hard to come by- the blades are carved from wood, the alternator includes magnets and hand wound coils cast in resin, and everything is held together by a mounting welded together fromsteel. The materials used arereclaimed or recycled where possible, and using hand tools for the majority of the build makes for arobust, easily fixable andlow carbon design. The design can also be adapted to various sizes and wind conditions. Through runnning courses the knowledge of the design is spread rather than the machine itself so the turbines can be maintained and repaired by whoever installs them, reducing reliance on an external organisationand increasing self sufficiency. Come have a chat to V3 in the green innovations area:discuss the design and where the materials are sourced from, have a go at using a drawknife to carve a blade from wood, learn about generating, storingand using off grid renewable power, or even charge your phone from the power of the wind! www.v3power.co.uk

![]() Mooncup is the healthy alternative to tampons, rated 'Best Buy' in a review of all sanitary products by the Ethical Consumer magazine. The average woman uses at least 10,000 throwaway tampons and pads in her lifetime. Or, if she's in the know, she uses just one Mooncup which lasts for years. No hassle with different absorbencies, no need to carry spares and no packaging, applicators or backing strips to dispose of every month. No exposure to pesticides or bleaches, or monthly expense either. Popular with women worldwide, the Mooncup is greener, cheaper and healthier. Manufactured in the UK for a small ethical business, too. Come visit us at the Green Innovations field at the Sunrise festival to find out more. www.mooncup.co.uk |

![]() G C Architects - Organic Architecture, ecological design, Conservation. If the concept of ecological building is rooted in a new approach to technology, then that of an organic building is in its spirit. The qualities of design which lead to subtle and living buildigs are much harder to express. Every building belongs to a unique place, whether densely urban or lost in the mountains. With a deep listening to that place it is possible to bring a special relationship between the people who will occupy the place and the environment through the process of building and landscaping. This is our job as organic architects - to listen and respond to the subtle messages we hear. www.gcarchitects.co.uk |
