We've teamed up with our local Transition Town to bring a dream of ours into reality this year. Despite 'carbon neutral' being a grey area in the green movement, at its heart is a concept that we resonate with. So we thought we'd run our own community woodland project - and give people coming to Sunrise a chance to donate to the creation of this new woodland. So rather than offering you a chance to 'off-set your carbon' we'll actually plant trees (productive fruit or nut trees) in a woodland that YOU can come and visit any time of year! The idea is to create a place that will benefit the local community by providing local food, as well as giving Sunrisers a place to come and enjoy the fruits of their offerings! From now on, whenever you buy a ticket you'll have the option to 'buy a fruit tree for planting' for just £4.00. And we'll keep you updated as to the progess of the woodland, as we go!
