We nearly choked on our cider this morning as we heard about the late arrival of BBC’s 1Xtra show ‘Original Fever’ hosts, Rodney P & Skitz! Their flagship Hip Hop show plays British rap alongside American, interviewing big names from both sides of the atlantic. The show gets a phenomenal response from around the whole world – they’ve interviewed 50 Cent, Redman and Method Man and a whole load of others you hip hop rascals will have heard about!

Since his days in the seminal UK Hip Hop group London Posse, Rodney P is widely regarded as the Godfather of British Hip Hop. Inspiring a whole generation of British emcees and producers by being the first to rap in his authentic London accent and produce a home-grown Hip Hop reggae vibe that is distinctly rooted in the UK.

Rodney P & Skitz are now London based Hip-Hop Producer/DJ’s. Their ‘Original Fever’ show features the cream of the crop of black music DJs from all genres. Go and have a listen here and get da flavour of Friday night’s mains stage at Sunrise! Now then.. back to my cider latte..
